Technical Drawing

I really find learning AUTOCAD very useful. Although I'm not a pro at it, at least it helps in creating nice detailed images for our bag design.
So I drew these bags in AutoCAD, not bad for a beginner I think.

Some More Material Research

Jessica was suggesting about parachute material for our bag since it's very light and waterproof.
So I looked into it further and I found the material used is NYLON.

Personally I don't fancy how it looks on the picture above. It's very dull and non-attractive.
But there are bags that use this material and has good market sales like Le Sportsac.
Perhaps when designed properly with the right colour & patterns (maybe), it looks better.

Helium Tank Material Research

We know that Helium gas can escape through pores just in the case of balloon. So I researched for what kind of material can hold Helium gas for a long time.
Then I stumbled upon this website http://blimpguys.com/helium.htm
A company that sells BLIMPS which is a big balloon that is usually used for advertisement.

Then I read up what kind of materials they use and TA-DA I found it!
POLYURETHANE VINYL. The website even explains its characteristics.
I find it very suitable for the helium tank for our bag.

Popular Bag Designs

Doing a bit of research for our HELIUM BAG design.
Since we are targeting young kids & teenagers, the design must be appealing to them right?
So I found some pictures of school bags that I often see teenagers bring around in Singapore

I got an inspiration from this picture for our bag sizes.
It's rather a good idea to have different sizes to suite each student's need!
Same design with different sizes, should talk to our group about it!

101

101 Ideas.
This is what I love the most when it comes to working in team.
For it is here that different opinions can be equally appreciated. Finally.
No matter how crazy & inapplicable some of the ideas are but all of us love it!
The craziest 3:
 1. Training your bird to carry your school bag
 2. Inventing vitamins that can boost up your immune system & muscles in a matter of seconds
3. Designing tunnels that link your bedroom & classrooms so you can just drop your bag in there and it will be transported into the classrooms.
It was so fun and we all really went crazy. NO JUDGEMENT :)

All pictures are self-taken :)
