Feeling really unwell this morning and did not feel like doing school work,
So I decided to just strip my wallet to its last coin and see what I could do with it.
Tried to make a collage of my wallet's residents.
I love how it turns out.
There is quite a variety of colours and different size of rectangles in my wallet.
Makes it exciting to see! :)
I also just realised that I'm actually a collector! So many things I collect and store in my wallet all this time like different countries money, photos and of course cards.
I never actually realised that I have been bringing all these collections with me all the time. No wonder my wallet is so heavy.
Blame the weather for making me too lazy to do anything!
It was so grey and the cool air blowing in from my window was just not helping at all! I was supposed to do work but then I felt too uninterested in it that I just started doing something more interesting in my opinion: making a poster design to put up on my room wall.
Been wanting to do it for 2 months and finally got the time to. It's my first time collaborating technology into my artwork. Edited my rough drawing of the waves on paint software and put everything together there as well. Came out to be pretty nice :) I love curly lines (as stated all over my poster design)
First, I created a title for my personal blog using my artwork then I got inspired to do my poster design. Thanks to technology I didn't have to draw multiple waves, just one and with the magic of copy, paste and resize I got the waves in different sizes.
Learned typography in 2D lesson which came out to be very useful in designing this.
Very satisfied with my work, although, I must admit that it is still far from perfection. But hey, it's just for FUN right!
Think we know it all when we get straight As? Think again. Often we live in our own world, submerged in our own routines that we neglect many things, letting our lives flow along wherever the streams take us just like a leaf dropped on the surface of moving stream water. But can't we fill our billions empty brain cells with more interesting things? Yes! Totally! Looking deep into the oceans is one way! I am always amazed at how much we still don't know about the lives under the ocean. So many alien creatures roaming around waiting to be discovered. I'm so thankful to those brave and curious scientists who went all the way into the dark underwater world to find out about things (snorkeling is terrifying enough for me). I found out about these alien creatures in BBC Planet Earth DVD and I just love them! How their bodies are designed to adapt to the surrounding is mind blowing.
Vampire Squid

This fish truly resembles a human vampire with those sharp teeth its got. A truly bizarre creature!
Angler Fish

With that light producing antennae stuck on its head, it can lure its food, such an awesome way to eat! Just imagine yourself as being a small fish being attracted to a bright blinking light and before you know it, those sharp teeth are ready to chew you up, oopsy daisy!
Nautilus

Somehow, this creature looks like a sculpture that can be put on top of a side table as a decoration to me. Although its body tucked neatly into an elegantly curved shell, it can still swim around the vast ocean with little movements needed. Awesome right?
Giant Isopod

Yes, it actually looks like a giant flea but living under the water! Scary as it looks, giant isopods actually carry out the most important job in the ocean: cleaning up carcasses on the seafloor. Quite useful to have many feet to quickly move about the seafloor.

Those bubbly round eyes are not for aesthetic purpose, instead this fish captures as much light as it can receive through those comparatively big eyes. It is so dark down there!
PEANUT WORM

How about this? Looks like a part of intestines floating in the ocean. It's a sea worm!
TUBE WORM
Even in such an inhospitable place where light and oxygen is rare plus high pressure, these colourful worms live, TOUGH WORMS!
Since I first saw these creatures, I have never stopped "wow-ing" every time I look at them. They just amaze me so much with their mysterious secrets.

Here I am again, posting things that inspire me. Decided to go to the Art Science Museum this afternoon with Jess and Sufi. Our Language Arts teacher highly recommended us to go and take a look what's happening there and I must say the exhibitions were fantastic! Visited all three exhibitions: the Mummy, the Eames and the National Geographic. I found inspiring photos taken by the expert photographers in the National Geographic exhibition. Here are some. My phone camera is not that good and it affects the colour here :(
Being too excited looking at the photos, I forgot to look at the photographers' names. Anyway, these photos are my favourites among other photos. I found these pictures fascinating because I feel like I could totally put myself in the photographer's situation looking at what's happening right in front of his/her eyes at that current time. There is the heat from the sun, there is the splash of water, the smell, the wind, the sound of people yelling, I can experience them all just by seeing their photos. Just by looking, I got transferred to alien places seeing the unusual scenes, connecting with strangers from different worlds. Just amazing!
Talking about photography, I also got to create my own photogram! In one of the workshops, I could experience creating photos in a dark room. I created this collaboration of objects I have on top of a sheet of light sensitive paper. When the light was exposed, the area that was not covered by the objects got burned. So this is the result! :)
